IL Freestyle Club Cup a Success!!!

Downers Grove South and the Suburban Sprawl Wrestling Club hosted the 3rd Annual IL Freestyle Club Cup this past Sunday, April 29th.  Ten teams competed for the Club Cup title with Izzy Style defeating Team Olympic Chiropractic in the final.  Suburban Sprawl fielded two teams on the day with 17 current or future DGS Mustangs on the rosters.  No other school was as well represented at the Club Cup.  The wrestlers competed very well against some of the state's best Freestyle wrestlers and used the event to wrestle some quality matches and to prepare for the 2012 IL Freestyle State Tournament this weekend in Champaign, IL.  There should be over 20 DGS wrestlers competing in the Freestyle State Championships which will be the most in the school's history.
