The 2016 Spring "off-season" was a busy one for the DGS Mustangs. Once again, the Suburban Sprawl Wrestling Club practiced out of Downers Grove South with all of it's members coming from Downers Grove South, Downers Grove North, and the feeder schools for each of the high schools. Numbers were consistently in the 40's at practice and many current and future Mustangs were introduced to Freestyle and Greco Wrestling, which are the styles which are wrestled in the Olympics every four years. Ten Mustangs also traveled to Iowa City to watch the 2016 Olympic Trials, which determined the representatives for the 2016 USA Olympic Freestyle and Greco Wrestling teams.
