Mustang Underlevels Compete at West Suburban Conference Tournaments

On Saturday, February 1st, the DGS Mustang Freshmen, Sophomore, and Junior Varisty teams all competed in tournaments which included members of both the West Suburban Gold and Silver Divisions.  The West Suburban Conference, when combined with both divisions is perhaps one of the toughest wrestling conferences in the state.  Teams in the Gold include; DGS, Addison Trail, Hinsdale South, Willowbrook, Morton, Proviso East, and Leyden.  Teams in the Silver include; Oak Park and River Forest, Lyons Township, Hinsdale Central, Glenbard West, Downers Grove North, York, and Proviso West.

Five wrestlers placed in the top five for the Mustangs including Heavyweight Marcus Hobbs who won the JV Conference Championship at 285 lbs. Below you will find the top five placers at the JV West Suburban Conference Tournament at Hinsdale South High School.

The 2013-2014 Freshmen Mustangs ended the season on a good note as they finished in 3rd place at the Freshmen West Suburban Conference Tournament at Lyons Township High School.  The following Freshmen wrestlers placed in the top four at their weight class including champion Jacob Chisholm who not only won the title at 132 lbs, but also won the meets Most Outstanding Wrestler Award.
